Our tallow mineral sunblock is a dual-purpose powerhouse, designed to both moisturize your skin and shield it from the sun. It blends our signature tallow balm with the active ingredient, non-nano zinc oxide, deliverying optimal protection without the harmful chemicals found in conventional sunscreens. It's also naturally scented with Vanilla Absolute Essential Oil.

Our tallow balm is crafted using locally sourced beef from Lyman Ranches. Tallow balm is one of the most natural forms of skin hydration. It's packed with vitamins A, D, E, K and B12, making it perfect for skin health.

Non-nano zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum sun protection, effectively reflecting and scattering UVA and UVB rays. It's also considered eco-friendly and reef-safe, making it a better choice for protecting both your skin and the environment.

This sunblock uses non-nano zinc oxide, rather than nano zinc oxide traditionally found in sunblock today. Non-nano zinc oxide has a larger particle size than nano zinc oxide, which means it stays on top of your skin, rather than penetrating into your skin. As a result of the larger particle size, it may leave a white residue if you apply too much. Start with a SMALL amount and apply more as needed.

Did you know Carrot Seed Oil is often touted as having a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of around 38-40, making it a potential natural sunscreen option. However, it's important to note that while carrot seed oil can offer some sun protection, it's not a replacement for conventional sunscreens.

~~Sunscreen: Contains chemicals (like oxybenzone, avobenzone, octinoxate) that absorb UV rays before they reach the skin. Generally easier to rub in and doesn't leave a white cast. May be better for daily use or under makeup due to lighter texture.
~~Sunblock (also called mineral sunscreen): Contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which act as a physical barrier, reflecting UV rays away from the skin. May be better for outdoor activities like swimming or sports due to water resistance. Can leave a white cast on the skin and may feel thicker.

DIRECTIONS & CAUTION:

Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply within two hours or after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. If skin is irritated, discontinue use.
